What Vantage does

Vantage watches your services from outside your network, tells the people you name when one stops answering, and helps you tell affected people what is happening. It is built for small businesses and small IT teams, and for the people who look after services on behalf of other businesses.

What it checks

Each check runs on a schedule, from outside your own network, so it sees what a customer or partner on the internet sees.

Who is told, and how

You name the people or team who respond. When a service is down, they are alerted by the channel you set up with us, for example email or a webhook into the tools you already use. Text message, voice and push alerts depend on your setup, and we confirm with you which are available before you rely on them.

What affected people can see

When something is wrong, customers and colleagues should hear what is happening in plain words, and you should have an account of it afterwards. What that looks like for your services, such as a status page or an outage record, is agreed with you at the start and confirmed before you rely on it.

If you look after services for other businesses

Providers and consultants often watch many customers' services and need to tell each customer the truth about their own. If that is you, tell us how many businesses and services you look after and what each customer needs to see. We will tell you plainly which parts of that we can do for you today and which we cannot, before you commit to anything.

What it does not do

How to start

Vantage is provided to customers of Vigilance Business Systems under a service agreement. Getting started is by enquiry, and there is no online sign-up or checkout. See pricing and enquiry for how a quote is put together.
