Terms of Service
Effective 2026-11-06
These terms are published at https://vantageuptime.com/terms by the entity that manages consent for the Vantage SMS program.
1. Who we are
Vantage is a service of 1001334324 Ontario Corp., operating as Vigilance Business Systems ("we", "us"). Contact: hello@vigilancebusinesssystems.com. Mailing address: 25 Marlow Ave, Grimsby ON L3M 1Y2.
2. What these terms cover
These terms cover your use of this website and of the Vantage SMS alerts described on the SMS alerts and consent page. The monitoring service itself is provided to customers under a separate service agreement. If that agreement and these terms differ, the agreement applies to the service.
3. Using this website
This website is informational. You may read it and link to it. You must not attempt to disrupt it, probe it for weaknesses without our written permission, or use it to send us unlawful or abusive content.
4. SMS alert program terms
These are the terms of the Vantage text-message alert program, sent from +1 833-854-6948 by 1001334324 Ontario Corp., operating as Vigilance Business Systems.
- Who receives messages. VBS staff and customer contacts who ask to receive monitoring alert texts. Not every contact receives texts: a person receives alerts only after they have asked for them and their number has been enrolled and verified.
- What the messages are. Operational monitoring notifications, never marketing: for example, that a monitored service is down or has recovered, and related operational updates about it.
- How often. Message frequency varies with monitoring events and your requests.
- Cost. Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier sets its own charges.
- How you sign up. A contact asks Vigilance Business Systems staff to enrol their mobile number. Staff enrol the number for the monitoring alerts that were requested, and the number is verified. This website does not collect mobile numbers. Enrolment is described on the SMS alerts and consent page, published by the same business as these terms.
- Opting out and help. Reply STOP to opt out of alerts and HELP for help. Opt-out and help replies are handled by our messaging provider. To ask for your number to be removed from our records, write to the contact address on this page.
- Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Your information. How we handle your mobile number is described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Accuracy and availability
We work to keep information on this site accurate and current, but it is provided as is, without a promise that it is complete. Monitoring and alerts depend on networks and carriers outside our control, so an alert may be delayed or may not arrive. Do not rely on SMS alerts as your only way of learning about a critical problem.
6. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date above shows the current version.
