Program details
- Who receives messages
- VBS staff and customer contacts who ask to receive monitoring alert texts. Not every contact receives texts: a person receives alerts only after they have asked for them and their number has been enrolled and verified.
- What the messages say
- Operational monitoring notifications, never marketing: for example, that a monitored service is down or has recovered, and related operational updates about it.
- How often
- Message frequency varies with monitoring events and your requests.
- Cost to you
- Message and data rates may apply.
- How people sign up for alerts
- A contact asks Vigilance Business Systems staff to enrol their mobile number. Staff enrol the number for the monitoring alerts that were requested, and the number is verified. This website does not collect mobile numbers.
- Stopping messages (STOP) and help (HELP)
- Reply STOP to opt out of alerts and HELP for help. Opt-out and help replies are handled by our messaging provider. To ask for your number to be removed from our records, write to the contact address on this page.
Consent and opt-in records
Alerts are sent only to people who have asked for them. Enrolment happens through Vigilance Business Systems staff, not through this website, which collects no mobile numbers.
